In the month that celebrates its ten years of operation, the Philanthropy Network for Social Justice incorporates two new members into its staff: Agbara Fund It is Brazil Foundation.

The first philanthropic fund for black women in Brazil, the Agbara Fund was born in September 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, seeking a philosophy of promoting and developing these women. Agbara's mission is to promote access to economic rights, through the promotion of the greatest number of initiatives by black women, enabling financial and emotional independence. In this way, promote income generation, productive inclusion, socio-emotional emancipation and community development.
In less than two years of operation, Agbara has already provided more than 2,000 services to more than 800 women, through financial contributions, technical training and consultancy. Among its annual strengthening programs, the “Black Advance!”, a notice that contributed, in its first edition, to ten income generation initiatives for black women throughout Brazil, which included technical training and financial contributions of up to R$5000 each.
BrazilFoundation is a pioneering organization in Brazilian philanthropy, working to mobilize resources for ideas and actions that transform the country. They work with leaders, social organizations and a global network of supporters to promote equality, social justice and opportunity for all Brazilians. The Fund uses strategic philanthropy to select, invest in and institutionally train civil society organizations to generate results with systemic impact.

BrazilFoundation's work focuses on four priority areas: Black Entrepreneurship, Environment and Climate Change, Gender Equality and Education.
During its twenty-two years of activity, BrazilFoundation raised more than 58 million dollars, which allowed it to identify, finance and monitor more than 760 CSOs in 261 cities in all regions of the country, reaching thousands of people.
