O Brazilian Environmental Education Fund – FunBEA-, became the thirteenth member organization of the Philanthropy Network for Social Justice. The Fund, which since 2012 has worked to strengthen permanent environmentalist educational collectives and processes, works with a critical conception of the ways of living in current societies. As a mission, the Fund has sought to capture and transfer resources to strengthen the capillarity of projects, in addition to identifying and articulating Environmental Education initiatives for support throughout the national territory.
In the last biennium, FunBEA mobilized to act on public policies, resulting in training in the coastal zone of the state of São Paulo, new university partnerships, educators and institutions mapped and contacted, educators and institutions participating in the Fund's training processes (community leaders, environmental educators, public managers, organized civil society, schools, etc.) and Educomunicative audiovisual productions (which can be accessed here).

On the north coast of São Paulo, it allocated funds to the Saneamento Já campaign, financing the audiovisual production carried out by a group of institutions and people from Maresias. Also, in 2020, support for small interventions by four groups, with a budget of R$1,200.00 each, for leaders and organized groups “Caregivers of Waters”, in São Sebastião, Ubatuba, Caraguá and Ilhabela.
With the difference of establishing partnerships with universities in the five Brazilian regions (see above), the creation of the Fund represented a pioneering spirit in the area of financing Environmental Education in Brazil, and this pioneering spirit is the strength with which FunBEA has operated throughout the territory national, will be major contributions from the Fund for the Philanthropy Network for Social Justice.
