The focus of this call is to support projects in communities impacted by energy projects in Brazil. Proposals will be selected from all over Brazil that can contribute to:

– Support groups so that they have a voice in the development of investment policies and practices of financial institutions such as BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development), World Bank, Chinese investments, Inter-American Bank, among others; 

– Create and strengthen regional strategies that face the major impacts produced by energy generation projects in Brazil; 

– Help strengthen local groups so that they can promote environmental protection and defend rights in the face of the impacts of expanding infrastructure for energy generation.

The total value of this call is R$450,000.00 (four hundred and fifty thousand reais). In total, up to 12 projects of up to R $35,000.00 (thirty-five thousand reais) each will be supported.
